Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever and the United States Department of Agriculture are inviting landowners, farmers and ranchers to review their enrollment options for the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) general signup during the upcoming National Pheasant Fest & Quail Classic on February 14-16 at the Minneapolis Convention Center. In addition, staff will be available to discuss other voluntary conservation opportunities through the Farm Bill including but not limited to; EQIP, CSP, ACEP and CREP.

Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever has appointed Nick Golias, an avid outdoorsman and former business development executive in the steel industry, to serve as the organization’s Regional Representative in Indiana.

Benefitting farmers, ranchers, landowners, and natural resources throughout the country, the U.S. Department of Agriculture Farm Service Agency (USDA- FSA) today announced a general signup for the longstanding Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) from December 9, 2019, through February 28th, 2020.

On Wednesday afternoon, Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever praised the efforts of the House of Representatives for passing bipartisan bill, H.R. 925, to reauthorize funding for the North American Wetlands Conservation Act (NAWCA) at $60 million per year until 2024.

During the months of November and December, a donation will be made to the nation’s leading upland charity for every bottle of Mountain Dew or Pepsi purchased in more than 2,000 Casey’s General Store locations spanning 16 states. 

Amid a large crowd of upland hunters and Pheasants Forever members at the world-famous Corn Palace in Mitchell, Governor Kristi Noem accepted a check Friday evening for $10K in support of the her newly established Second Century Habitat Fund from committee members of the Pheasant Country chapter.

The South Dakota Department of Tourism has renewed their national sponsorship with Pheasants Forever through 2022 in support of the organization’s landscape-level habitat initiatives which support South Dakota’s economy and status as “The World’s Pheasant Capital.”

Pheasants Forever has been the recipient of 235 acres in Martin County that has permanently conserved wildlife habitat and created more upland access.
