This offseason, Pheasants Forever Rooster Booster member Joel Rees is remembering the good times afield with his late chocolate Labrador retriever, “Java.” The lab worked this mixed bag of pheasant and prairie chicken in her prime at 6-years-old during the 2011-2012 season on walk-in hunting land near Hays, Kansas. Rees supports “The Habitat Organization” from his home in Lecompton, Kansas.
