This event is presented by the Iowa Falconers' Association and the Iowa Heartland Chapter of Women on the Wing. The Falconry & Upland Game Workshops are designed for those who are curious about falconry and upland hunting but don’t know where to start. These beginner-friendly experiences offer hands-on instruction. Participants will learn about safety, hunting skills, hunting ethics, and wildlife conservation, all in a supportive, no-pressure environment. Led by passionate mentors, you’ll gain confidence in the field, connect with like-minded people, and learn how falconry and upland hunting play a vital role in wildlife and habitat conservation.

No experience or gear needed, just a willingness to learn. Appropriate for ages 16 and up. Participants between the ages of 13 and 15 will need to be accompanied by a guardian for the duration of the workshop.
