Pheasants Forever Experiences Impressive Chapter Growth from Midwest to Mid-Atlantic

Upland hunters stretching from the Midwest to Mid-Atlantic states are making a strong effort to restore gamebird habitat, public access and pollinators with a flurry of chapter starts (7) in the second quarter of 2019. Staffers of “The Habitat Organization” are pleased to welcome new volunteer committees in Minnesota, North Dakota, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

Replicating more than 580 Pheasants Forever chapters nationwide, the new local affiliates will utilize the organization’s signature fundraising model. Unique among national conservation groups, Pheasants Forever chapters are empowered with 100 percent control over the funds they raise at banquets and other events. This allows chapters to direct their funds to upland habitat projects, public lands purchases or the ability to host youth outdoor experiences in their respective regions.

"The continued interest and enthusiasm from upland hunters to support the mission of Pheasants Forever is inspiring,” stated Tom Fuller, field service director for Pheasants Forever. “As the organization continues to grow, so does our efficiency for managing wildlife habitat at a landscape level. We’re honored to have new chapters and volunteers coming on board to deliver habitat, access, and R3 initiatives.”
