Turning Red Acres Green: Interactive Precision Ag Workshop Offered at 2019 National Pheasant Fest & Quail Classic

Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever has partnered with John Deere to offer a Precision Ag Workshop as part of the 2019 National Pheasant Fest & Quail Classic. Scheduled to begin on Friday, February 22nd at 10 a.m. within the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center, the workshop is designed specifically for farmers, precision specialists, agronomists and conservation professionals, focusing on maximizing return-on-investment (ROI) for every acre on the farm while improving wildlife habitat, water quality and soil health.

“This workshop is designed to be interactive and conversational, giving participants a chance to engage with three unique speaker panels we’ve assembled,” explains Ryan Heiniger, Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever’s director of agriculture. “Plus, with the backdrop of all the exciting things to see at National Pheasant Fest and Quail Classic, this workshop is destined to be unlike any other this winter season.”

Highlighting the occasion is Betsy Jibben, national reporter for AgDay, serving as Master of Ceremonies and moderator for the 2019 Precision Ag Workshop. The event itself will help producers how to best utilize the John Deere Operations Center and work with different platforms to identify new strategies to be profitable in their operations by focusing on ROI, acre by acre, to identify field zones where implementing conservation and alternative practices actually increases whole field profitability.
