Pheasants Forever Welcomes Hayden Outdoors as New National Sponsor

Working in tandem to support upland wildlife conservation efforts on public and private lands, Pheasants Forever is pleased to announce Hayden Outdoors as the organization’s newest national sponsor. Hayden Outdoors will now market its wide selection of recreational and agriculture properties to Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever members, while making a gift commitment to upland wildlife.

“As a real estate brokerage specializing in farmland and recreational property, Hayden Outdoors understands the importance of land stewardship and the value of quality wildlife habitat. When we decided that we wanted to do more for upland wildlife habitat, Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever was a natural partner,” stated Dax Hayden, Hayden Outdoors managing partner and Life Member of Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever. “Our family and passionate real estate agents recognize ‘The Habitat Organization’ as an effective and efficient conservation partner. When we learned more about PF’s vision for the future, it became clear that we needed to provide additional support to ensure an upland legacy for future generations.”

Like Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever, Hayden Outdoors was built on the core values of outdoor recreation and the special experiences made afield each year. That’s why the partnership is striving to help members of “The Habitat Organization” create their own memories in the field through public lands access and private lands assistance through the following means:

  • Build A Wildlife Area: The land brokerage will be a new addition to Pheasants Forever’s Build A Wildlife Area program in all states where the company has a footprint.  Hayden Outdoors, specifically Leo Hayden, was instrumental in helping PF acquire a 1,080 property in Sherman County, Kansas, that was recently transferred to the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks & Tourism.  The property, called Veterans Wildlife Area, is now open to public use and is being managed for wildlife benefit.

  • Private Lands Wildlife Habitat Assistance: Acknowledging Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever’s expertise of conservation programs on private lands, Hayden Outdoors will help foster relationships between landowners and professional PF/QF biologists to help achieve management goals for wildlife on private lands in Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, and Wyoming.  This approach includes promoting new programs such as the Kansas Corners for Wildlife program, focused on enrolling agricultural center-pivot corners in high-quality upland habitat.
“To create a high-level partnership with one of the premier land brokerage companies in the county is a giant step forward for the future of upland wildlife conservation and our hunting heritage,” said Chris Kalis, director of corporate partnerships for Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever. “Not only have they committed financially for increased wildlife habitat and public access, but the opportunities to assist private landowners with landscape-level habitat upgrades has major implications for private lands conservation.”

In addition to advertising in the Pheasants Forever Journal of Upland Conservation, Quail Forever Journal of Quail Conservation, and the organization’s websites and social media channels, Hayden Outdoors will be featured as a gold sponsor at the upcoming 2019 National Pheasant Fest & Quail Classic in Schaumburg, Illinois. Furthermore, the land brokerage will be a new addition to Pheasants Forever’s Build A Wildlife Area program in all states where the company has a footprint.
