Joe Long Joins Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever as New Development Officer

Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever has announced the addition of Joe Long as the organization’s newest Development Officer. Long will work to strengthen Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever’s strategic partnership and philanthropic fundraising efforts to benefit the organization’s mission of wildlife habitat conservation.
 
“Joe understands the grassroots nature of ‘The Habitat Organization’ and brings a shared passion for business development and our overall mission to this growing team,” stated David Bue, vice president of development for Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever. “His results-oriented mindset and track record of building effective relationships will help us achieve our fundraising objectives and strategic initiatives.”
 
Long will be responsible for working in collaboration with Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever team members, donors, volunteers, and partners to expand private, corporate, and public funding relationships. Additionally, building a stronger culture of philanthropy among Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever constituents is a top priority. This includes but is not limited to: major gift fundraising, planned giving, donor relations, and elite-level memberships.

Prior to joining Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever, Long worked in various sales management functions in the sports industry, most recently as the Director of Season Ticket Services for Minnesota United FC, as well as a similar role with the Minnesota Twins. Originally from Rockford, Illinois, Long is a graduate of St. John’s University in Collegeville, Minnesota. Long, a current Pheasants Forever Life Member, works out of Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever’s national headquarters in St. Paul, Minnesota. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting, skiing, traveling and being outdoors with his friends, family and one-year-old red lab, Shay.
