Renowned Conservationist Mahoney Named National Pheasant Fest & Quail Classic Keynote Speaker

Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever announce conservation advocate Shane Mahoney as the featured speaker during the organization’s annual convention - the 2016 National Pheasant Fest & Quail Classic – to be held at the Kansas City Convention Center on February 19, 20 & 21, 2016. Mahoney will deliver the keynote address to the National Pheasant Fest & Quail Classic Banquet crowd of approximately 1,000 on Saturday, February 20th.

A Pheasants Forever Life Member and leading authority on North American conservation history and policy, Mahoney has been at the forefront of debates on issues of sustainable use of wildlife resources within both the United States and Canada.  A featured presenter at countless Pheasant Forever & Quail Forever events, Mahoney last inspired National Pheasant Fest & Quail Classic attendees during the “2014 Rally for Conservation” in Milwaukee, Wisconsin - Video: Shane Mahoney at Pheasants Forever’s “Rally for Conservation”

“I am honored to be part of 2016 National Pheasant Fest & Quail Classic and to join the nation’s leading upland habitat conservation organization in their fight for habitat and wildlife conservation. These are challenging times for wildlife habitat and the hunting traditions that all concerned Americans should fight to protect,” explained Mahoney. “No social movement is of greater consequence to the future of the United States and Canada than that of conservation. It is our responsibility to protect the habitats of these wild creatures so they can thrive forever.”
