Tjiekie, owned by Pheasants Forever member Jimmy Warren of Colorado Springs, is a Drentsche Patrijshond - a versatile spaniel-type hunting dog from the Dutch province of Drenthe that began appearing around the 16th century in the Netherlands.

The Drent is a proportionally built, medium sized bird dog originally bred as a versatile farm and hunting companion. It is considered one of the rarest pointing dogs in North America. "We love hunting for pheasants, chukar, and quail in Colorado and Kansas," said Warren.
