Presents Dog of the Day

Hunter

c4f7c9ce-01d0-4081-84b7-9bd9488f4eaa At 13 years old with an amputated foreleg in March 2020 due to a soft tissue sarcoma, Hunter’s owner didn’t know if the duo would ever seen the uplands again. A sobering day.

“At that age and with only three legs, pheasant cover seemed like a tall order,” said Hunter’s owner, Richard Wong of Minneapolis. “But the fire was still there.”

The pair focused on open woods grouse and woodcock for most of the season. “He proved me wrong on a recent Minnesota public land hunt by pointing 10 pheasants. I believe the only limitations he has are the ones I label him with.”
