“Dakota Hoda” is Pheasants Forever Life Member Steve Fretland’s 18-month-old German shorthaired pointer. “I started hunting him at 6-months-old, and it has been a beautiful journey,” Fretland, from Tioga, North Dakota, says, “He points, honors, swims, loves me unconditionally, and lives smack dab in the 'Mother Lode'! Fretland is a volunteer leader with the Peaceful Valley Chapter of Pheasants Forever.
