When combined with an incredible landscape and amazing wildlife, Oklahoma is truly a captivating place to chase bobwhite quail, particularly in a boom year like 2016.
Growing up as a kid in Minnesota, wild quail hunting wasn’t even on my radar. Fall hunting transitioned from grouse to ducks to pheasants to deer, and there wasn’t room for anything more.

Before departing for home, we wanted to visit a spot where another adventure could soon start or finish, for our group or anyone else, at the Meger Wildlife Management Area.
