Our theme this year is Rooted in Community. We’ll highlight the value of being part of the upland hunting and conservation community — and the support that comes with expanding your network.

Whether it’s having someone to mentor you in a new venture, having a support system to lean on during difficult times, co-learning alongside a friend, or simply having people to share stories with, that sense of community adds immense value to our experience both in and out of the field. As more and more women take to the field independently, we want to foster the feeling of connectivity within our shared space.

PF & QF President and CEO, Marilyn Vetter, will be joined by Kali Parmley of GunDog Magazine, Katie McKalip of the Ruffed Grouse Society and Chloe Nostrant of Raconteur Magazine on a panel to discuss the role community has played in their development as hunters and conservationists.

We’re very fortunate to have the opportunity to gather such a talented group of women for this event. Our very own Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever President and CEO, Marilyn Vetter, will be joined by Kali Parmley of GunDog Magazine, Katie McKalip of the Ruffed Grouse Society and Chloe Nostrant of Raconteur Magazine. Panel members will discuss the role community building has played in their development as hunters and conservationists, along with other topics that are sure to provide engaging discussions. Audience members will have the chance to ask the panel their own questions as well. The discussion will be moderated by Emily Spolyar, Pheasants Forever North Dakota State Coordinator.

As an added bonus, we will also have a storytelling session with Katie Willis of Raconteur Magazine that will celebrate the people, dogs and landscapes we all enjoy. Additionally, we will have a silent auction during the event that will help raise funds to support the Women on the Wing initiative.
