FROM PHEASANTS & QUAIL TO FOREST GROUSE, AND FROM WHITETAILS TO WAFTING MONARCHS, SESSIONS FOCUS ON CREATING AND RESTORING UPLAND WILDLIFE HAVENS

By Tom Carpenter, Editor at Pheasants Forever

Habitat is key to everything whether you’re a hunter, wildlife lover, bee-butterfly-and-songbird fan, landowner, land manager, PF or QF chapter leader or volunteer … or some combination of all those descriptions!

That’s why the Habitat Stage at 2020 National Pheasant Fest & Quail Classic is going to be one popular place when the show opens at the Minneapolis Convention Center in Minnesota on Friday, February 14, running through Sunday, February 16. This year, the stage is being supported by key Pheasants Forever / Quail Forever conservation partners Polaris, Scag Power Equipment, the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and Farm Service Agency (FSA).

A couple highlights to consider in your show plan:

For anyone contemplating an upland project of any type, Habitat Project Planning from Pencil to Drip Torch is a must-attend. Experienced Pheasants Forever biologists Sara Reagan and Josh Peterson present.

Quail lovers won’t want to miss A Case Study of the Bee Ridge Quail Focus Area, from Josh Pinkowski of the Missouri Department of Conservation.

Many Minnesota outdoors people will want to hear from conservationist and friend of PF Doug Duren and Managing for White-tailed Deer and the Effects of CWD on Your Plan.
