Steps into new role after ten years with The Habitat Organization
Pheasants Forever (PF) and Quail Forever (QF) proudly introduce Laura Newberg as the organization’s new CRP Training Programs Coordinator. In her new role, Newberg will help lead Habitat University, providing in-depth training and mentorship to Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever team members and other conservation professionals working with the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP).
“I feel honored to be able to assist in the training of Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever team members, along with other conservation professionals, in one of our country’s most successful conservation programs for wildlife habitat,” Newberg said. “This position allows me to take my passion for private land conservation and help to grow a strong network of private land biologists.”
Newberg brings nearly a decade of experience with PF and QF, beginning as a Farm Bill Biologist in Minnesota in 2015. She most recently served as a Senior Farm Bill Biologist, where she mentored and trained new team members across the state. A native of southeastern Minnesota, she has always valued the connection between agriculture and wildlife. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Natural Resources with an emphasis in Wildlife Management from the University of Minnesota, Crookston.

As CRP Training Programs Coordinator, Newberg will support the development of online curricula and in-person training events nationwide. Her efforts will focus on developing new conservation team members, growing partnerships, and building a robust, skilled workforce equipped to implement CRP practices.
