Building a culture of philanthropy in Iowa and Nebraska
Pheasants Forever (PF) and Quail Forever (QF) are excited to introduce a new development officer who will represent Iowa and Nebraska. Keith Brus will be responsible for collaborating with donors, members, volunteers and partners to expand private, corporate and public funding relationships benefiting upland habitat conservation.
“Keith is a passionate upland hunter and conservationist, and we are excited to welcome him back to the Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever team,” said Jake Hanson, PF and QF’s director of development. “He is a highly respected leader with an exceptional work ethic, and his skillset is well positioned to inspire generosity and continue to build a culture of philanthropy across the Great Plains states.”
Building a strong culture of philanthropy among Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever constituents is a top priority, which includes but is not limited to – leadership gifts and major gifts, charitable bequests, corporate philanthropy, gifts of real estate and conservation easements, endowments and grant funding. Brus will take on responsibilities tied directly to Pheasants Forever’s and Quail Forever’s vision for the future of upland habitat, made possible in part by expanded philanthropic support inspired by a robust team of fundraising professionals.
Brus holds a bachelor’s degree in animal ecology from Iowa State University. Most recently, he worked as an operations manager for Aurora Cooperative and was previously a sales representative for Timpte, Inc. He is making his return to Pheasants Forever after leaving his role as a regional wildlife biologist, now known as the regional representative role, in 2008.
“Having a chance to work with Pheasants Forever’s passionate supporters is inspiring and I’ve witnessed the positive impact this organization has made for pheasants and quail everywhere from the “back 40” to capitol hill,” Brus said. “I’m excited to be a part of The Habitat Organization team that is making a difference for pheasants, quail and all wildlife.”
