Learn how you can improve your local upland habitat and help your community

The Webster dictionary definition for the word “volunteerism” is pretty short and straightforward:

VOLUNTEERISM is the act or practice of doing work in community service.

Let’s be honest; that’s a pretty stale definition that doesn’t inspire enthusiasm.  Heck, it almost sounds like a penalty for doing something wrong. In reality, people volunteer to have FUN with LIKE-MINDED FOLKS who all want to make a POSITIVE IMPACT on behalf of something that’s DEEPLY IMPORTANT to them as individuals.

At Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever, our volunteer chapter members are the lifeblood of the organization and at the core of our Call of the Uplands campaign.  Our volunteers are passionate about our habitat mission and they are passionate about introducing new people to the outdoors.  And most importantly, they have FUN delivering a positive impact on our organization’s mission throughout their local areas and across the entire upland community.  They are the original – and still the best - ambassadors of the uplands.

Simply put, local volunteers are critical in our organization’s ability to turn conservation policy into wildlife habitat and relationships into results.  It’s our chapter volunteers who have been answering the call of the uplands for the last four decades. See for yourself by watching the third installment of our Answer the Call video series where we visit with chapter volunteers from New Mexico and Minnesota.

There are more than 700 Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever chapters located across the country - and all of them are looking for new volunteers who are excited about the uplands.

Whether you can help one day a year or volunteer a few hours each month, there’s a place for you.

Find a chapter today and discover how easy and fulfilling it is to get involved. No chapters in your area?
