"In the Weeds" takes a closer look at the projects, events and happenings of the over 700 PF/QF chapters and 120,000 PF/QF members across the country.
Dakota PF receives North Dakota Game and Fish Grant for Youth Activities
Since its inception, Dakota Pheasants Forever has grown to over 300 members and has raised more than $1 million for the North Dakota wildlife habitat. The chapter is also working hard to cultivate outdoor interest in today's youth.
The chapter was recently awarded a $3,000 grant from the North Dakota Game & Fish Department for youth activities as outlined in the "Encouraging Tomorrow's Hunters" grant application. The grant is a cost-sharing agreement and provides 75 percent of the cost of selected youth activities sponsored by Dakota PF. The chapter is responsible for the remaining 25 percent of the cost of youth activities. In the past, the chapter has held outdoor youth days and youth mentor hunts.
