Five Question Friday: Kris Kringle
Five Question Friday with Kris Kringle. Though better known for his workshop, team of reindeer and his bowl full of jelly, Kringle is also a dedicated conservationist and a Pheasants Forever Life Member.
PF: Anything new for Christmas this year?
KK: I'm done handing out lumps of coal to those on the naughty list. It's just not environmentally friendly. Remember, I live on a giant sheet of ice. We're going with rocks instead.
PF: Cool. I guess I never really thought of you as such a conservationist?
KK: Ho ho ho! Who did you think was responsible for bringing back the Arctic caribou herd? The Easter Bunny?
PF: Good point. So what's the hot gift item this year?
KK: Other than PF memberships, all anyone wants is gift cards. Those things will drive me and the elves out of business...
PF: Bummer. But thanks for the shameless plug. You know, you eat an awful lot of cookies every year. Ever thought about joining the competitive eating circuit?
KK: That would be amateur hour for me. When I'm not in my workshop, I like to spend my time in the great outdoors.
PF: Okay, one final question Mr. Kringle. Who will take over the job once you're gone?
KK: One of the boys from ZZ Top... Just kidding. I bet you didn't think Santa had such a sense of humor! Or a love of classic rock. But I've got a few centuries left in me, so no need to worry yet. Happy Holidays to hunters, conservationists and bird dog enthusiasts everywhere!
