Five Question Friday: Heather Eaton

Five Question Friday: Heather Eaton

Five Question Friday with Heather Eaton, Pheasants Forever/Quail Forever's National Youth Leadership Council (NYLC) committee vice - chair.

QF: Where do you live?

HE: Cherokee, Iowa (northwest Iowa).

QF: What is your favorite outdoor activity?

HE: Softball and pheasant hunting with my dad, Greg, and my brother, Hunter. I also like to clay bird shoot at my friend’s, Jim Steffen, range.

QF: Who is you hero if you have one and why?

HE: I have two people that I look up to greatly and would consider heroes to me. First, is my dad, Greg. He is the one that introduced me to Pheasants Forever and taught me all there is to hunting. He is a volunteer firefighter and does a lot for his community, and I hope to be like him someday. The second is my mom, Laurie. She has always been there for me no matter what. She goes to all of the banquets with me, supports me, and somehow makes it easier to speak in front of everybody. She goes to all of my school activities and makes life so much easier. She’s the friend I know I will always have.

QF: Do you have a favorite breed of hunting dog?

HE: Labrador retriever.

QF: What is your favorite thing about Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever?

HE: All of the people I get to meet and talk with that have many of the same goals and interests as I do.

NOTE: The NYLC was formed in 2006 and is comprised of youth from around the country who were picked for their leadership abilities and their interest in conservation, habitat and hunting. They serve as spokespeople for their age group on issues of importance to Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever. A special thanks to Brooks VanDerBeek, NYLC public relations specialist, for compiling this week's Five Question Friday.
