Five Question Friday: Nathan Hager

Five Question Friday: Nathan Hager

Five Question Friday with Nathan Hager, banquet chair for the Lapeer County (Michigan) Chapter of PF.

PF: Before the upcoming hunting season, you're going to purchase...?

NH: I am going to buy some more PF Federal 5's for pheasant season, and some new traps and trapping equipment/supplies as I am going to get back into trapping this year. There are way too many 'coons, 'possums, skunks and various other furbearing nest robbers living in my area. The price of fur is a bonus, as I am looking forward to doing all I can to increase nesting success.

I have already bought a new layout blind this summer and I hope to be the proud new owner of a dozen new goose decoys as well before the early season rolls around.

PF: Your favorite outdoor personality is...?

NH: Outdoor personality? I don't spend too much time watching television, but our chapter president Mark Sak is putting together a television show and he said he would take me fishing sometime, so he comes to mind. Beyond that, I don't know, except maybe that guy in Pennsylvania that caught over a thousand red fox in one season.......

PF: ________are way too expensive?

NH: Hevi-shot and other non-toxic alternatives, as well as guided hunts.

PF: Former Tiger Jack Morris...Hall of Famer, or not?

NH: I have to say yes, as he was the ultimate bulldog out there on hill. Difficult to get along with, whiney, yes, but he produced for a long time.

PF: How hard is it being a Lions fan?

NH: Absolutely brutal. I love football, but he Lie-downs are very difficult to watch. I watch much more college football than the NFL for that reason.
