Five Question Friday: Ron Ness
Ron Ness, Habitat Committee Chair of the Dakota Chapter of Pheasants Forever in Bismarck, North Dakota
PF: What was your first Pheasants Forever event?
RN: I attended a banquet in Bismarck, North Dakota in 1992 and remember asking a guy I knew working the banquet, how do you get one of those PF caps. Show-up for a meeting and get involved. I did and 15 years later I'm still involved.
PF: Where is your favorite place to hunt pheasants?
RN: Western North Dakota on some land we own. It's where we put our time, effort, and money into creating habitat to enhance our pheasant numbers.
PF: There are no professional sports teams in North Dakota, so which pro teams do you cheer for?
RN: Twins, Vikings, T-Wolves
PF: What's the coldest you remember it being in North Dakota?
RN: It was -34 yesterday, but there was no wind, so it didn't seem that bad. Think spring.
PF: What's the best piece of advice you've ever received, and from whom?
RN: I saw this on a T-shirt - "Hunt hard, Life is Short"
