Twenty states have SAFE practices tailored specifically or primarily to the creation of pheasant and quail habitat, and across those 20 states are 82 Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever Farm Bill wildlife biologists helping landowners enroll.
There are currently 252,088 Upland Habitat Buffer (Conservation Practice 33) acres enrolled across the country, leaving 144,382 acres available for enrollment.
The award is presented annually to a Pheasants Forever volunteer member in Minnesota who demonstrates uncommon achievements in the name of the organization’s mission.
Decades in the making, these problems are here and won't get better without aggressive action.
